RightCare

"A catalyst for healthier communities"

Project Access is a program used to give patients with no insurance an opportunity to see a specialist. This program allows us to meet the specific needs of our patients and provide a more nuanced approach to health care.

To meet the initial requirements, the patient will need:

  •  a Medicaid rejection (if you are a citizen you must apply for Medicaid before applying for RightCare)
  • be at or below the 250% federal poverty level
  • a UNC Health Financial Assistance Program Application

After our health care providers refer you and the application is approved, patients will call RightCare to verify the date of their scheduled appointment. This program is not applicable for patients who have had injuries sustained at work, injuries due to a motor vehicle accident, or who need help with qualifying for Social Security Disability benefits.
